Share Peace, Joy, and Love.

Hello my sisters and brothers in Christ,

I pray all is well with you and yours. I am doing well, thanks be to God. Over the past week, the Lord has been really speaking to me on so many things and the Holy Spirit has been convicting me on my daily life. I truly believe that these revelations are a result of my 46-day fast which I completed this past Saturday; I thank God that I am growing in my faith and being able to discern His voice. Hallelujah! The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out... “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me (John 10:3, 14). In the past week, God has laid so many things on my heart that I'll like to share some with all of you.
As I grow in my faith, I am understanding the power of prayer. Hence the reason why prayer is one of my favorite things to talk about, as well as praying being a hobby now. I have learned the essence of praying about everything. As it says in Mark 11:24, Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. In addition to praying for yourself, pray for your family and friends too. It is so important to talk with God about your family and friends, because they may not know how to. I've been in situations sometimes I'll be praying about something and all of a sudden God lays in my heart to pray for a certain person; it could be a person I haven't seen or talked to in a while or someone I have been keeping in touch with. Another thing that God has been letting me know is that He has strategically put folks in my life lately for a purpose. In the beginning, I misinterpreted the purpose of these people but when I finally said "yes and amen" to God, the people and situations are beginning to make sense. I had to start seeing people and situations through the eyes of God and consulting him in prayer about everything. I have come to understand that when God gives us second chances to make amends to a situation, it is imperative to do better and seek God's will. Remember that maybe that thing was meant to be for you to learn a lesson and that person is meant to be in your life today, not yesterday or tomorrow. Seek God's purpose for situations or people in your life. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you (James 1:5). God is still in the prayer-answering business.
In conclusion, I pray we share peace, joy, and love to everyone we cross paths with. We may just be saving a life or giving someone hope. I believe the Lord started laying this on my heart heavily when I lost a friend/college roommate earlier this year through suicide. As I have stated in previous posts, our words to others must be life-giving. Our deeds and words must be purposeful. Additionally, we must live everyday like it is our last, therefore letting the memories folks have of you be kind and loving. I pray the Lord gives us direction and orders our steps. Jesus loves us. We were worth dying for, so He did. That's why we recently commemorated Good Friday last week. Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that. Ephesians 5:1-2 (MSG).
